Fluid Erosion
Letting safe operations soar
Fluid erosion is a common problem for aircraft and industrial gas turbines. During operation, aircraft engines are exposed to rain, while industrial engines are exposed to fine and large water droplets from inlet fogging systems and wet compressor systems. These factors cause destructive airfoil erosion.
BlackGold® coating is designed to protect industrial gas turbines and fan blades on commercial engines from water droplets—significantly reducing operational and maintenance costs.
